Kid Ink Sparks Major Views with "Bad Ass" Music Video

Kid Ink is on fire!  His "Bad Ass" music video, which features him in a firehouse full of beautiful women, racked up more than 1 million views in its first week out.

The clip, also featuring special guests Wale and Meek Mill, stars Kid Ink as a firefighter who's been called to the scene of a blaze.  He and his crew zoom through the streets of Los Angeles in a fire truck, arriving at a warehouse that's engulfed in flames.  Wale and Meek are there to help out, but the real heroes are the video vixens who race through the blazing building wearing firefighter gear and not much else underneath.

"Bad Ass" is the lead single off L.A.-native Kid Ink's yet-untitled major label debut album.  He tells ABC News Radio that after he recorded the song, he "automatically" thought of inviting Meek Mill to contribute a verse.  "Me and Meek have so many past records and it was a minute since we, actually, got back in the studio together," says Kid Ink, who's released several mixtapes, including 2010's Crash Landing featuring Meek.

"I could tell the fans were like, 'Yo, make sure you get Meek on the new record or Meek on the new mixtape,'" Kid Ink explains. Since Meek didn't appear on Ink's 2012 release Rocketshipshawty, he says "it was just only right to, you know, get it with the single."

As for including Wale, Kid Ink says, "We felt like why go with a bang and we can just make it more explosive and put Wale on it?  Have the whole MMG fam and really hit the east coast hard, too."

Kid Ink tells ABC News Radio that his goal is to "eliminate the stereotypes" about the West Coast, where he grew up.  "You know, the gang lifestyle is a big part of L.A. and that's what I grew up on but it's so many kids out there like me that did grow up in the hood and still, you know, made it out and had dreams and wanted to do bigger things than were, just, a product of their environment, you know," Ink says.

The Alumni Music Group co-founder is gearing up to hit the road.  He'll kick off a series of shows, beginning with a March 23 performance in Las Vegas.
