Rick Ross has been in New York City for the past few days, and reportedly he's had around-the-clock police protection because of recent gang threats.  That's according to TMZ, which reports that cops have been stationed near the London Hotel, where Ross is staying.

Last month, Ross was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when he reportedly heard shots being fired in the direction of the Rolls Royce in which he was riding.  The driver of the vehicle tried to drive to safety, but lost control and struck a nearby apartment building.

According to reports in 2012, Ross had to cancel concerts in Charlotte and Greensboro, North Carolina, due to threats from the street gang Gangster Disciples, who allegedly have a beef with the Maybach Music boss.  The rapper’s camp never confirmed that threat.
