Michael Jackson's estate is once again teaming up with Cirque du Soleil to make multimedia magic. On Thursday, the collaborators unveiled plans for Michael Jackson ONE, a state-of-the-art visual and audio experience woven around the King of Pop's music and artistry.
The Michael-centered production will open and take residency exclusively at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino this summer. Preview performances begin May 23, with the official debut taking place June 29.
Jamie King, who got his start as a dancer on Michael's Dangerous world tour, wrote and directed the upcoming show. King also directed the Cirque du Soleil production Michael Jackson: The Immortal, which was one of the top-grossing tours of 2012, according to Pollstar. The traveling showcase is currently playing arenas in Europe.
